It's looking a lot more like Christmas!

The promised 'ice storm' turned out to be steady snow throughout the day, which certainly added to the Christmasy feel of the day.

Our neighbours were coming to dinner and so we tried to make the house as cosy and festive as possible..

We put out extra food for the birds and were rewarded with a number of visits:

We also had a number of visits from the elusive Red-Bellied Woodpecker..

It is raining tonight so the snow may be gone in the morning.  David has an early flight to Connecticut for the day so a snow free start will be helpful.
