Morning Walk at Meadowlark

The weather today has been cloudy, occasionally drizzly, but warm and so it was pleasant to walk at Meadowlark this morning.

There is still plenty of colour in the flowerbeds..

Also in the thousands of tiny light bulbs being put in place for the annual 'Meadowlark Walk of Lights' which begins in mid-November.

The main lake was very still and so reflections in the water were good..

But as yet, very little 'Fall colour' in the trees.

Great colour and shape in this closed Evergreen Magnolia seedpod and a very vibrant open one..

In the water, a very large Eastern Soft Shell turtle is not a very attractive creature ..

He is around 18 inches long, nose to tail.

The old farmhouse and the Korean garden looked good in the Autumn light..

Still some beautiful individual flowers to be admired in all areas of the garden..

This is a very strange plant..

It was home to this colourful beetle..
