Day 66 - Back to the US

An early start this morning to get to Heathrow for our flight back to Washington.

As the sun came up it was a lovely morning.

We had a good flight although we wondered what we would find in terms of snow, with the stories in the press of the 'polar vortex'.

In fact when we landed at Dulles and drove back to the house there was only a few inches of snow, although very low temperatures are forecast for the next couple of days.
