Ryton Pools Country Park

Today Lauren was meeting friends with their babies for a walk at a local country park and I was glad to tag along.

Theo is now in the push chair part of his pram..

Having somewhat grown out of the carrycot part..

He enjoyed his walk - sleeping all the way round on the very accessible but just bumpy enough several mile trail!

It was an overcast day and that is the only excuse I can offer for these rather dull coloured photos of the lake.

It was a very pleasant circular walk, passing picnic areas, lots of blackberries which will soon be ripe, an adventure playground and a miniature railway.

Run by the Coventry Society of Model Engineers this was what appeared to be a 3 1/2 and 5 inch gauge track but no activity today.

At the end of the walk there was an opportunity for a cup of tea and a catch up/comparing of notes for all the new mums and their lovely and all very different babies.   All in all a good afternoon!

  1. Looks like a lovely place for a walk. Theo looks great in his pushchair. How exciting having a model railway so close. Lauren will be able to keep up the Great Grandpa tradition by taking Theo for regular rides.
