Top of the Rock

Although we have been to the top of the Empire State Building on previous visits to New York, the advantage of visiting the top of the Rockefeller Centre is that you have a view of the Empire State Building itself.

Several other buildings such as this tall and improbably slender one seem to have appeared since we were last there.

The first lift takes you to an observation deck on the 67th floor of the building but from there you can climb to two higher levels.  There is a great view of Central Park.

We were lucky today as the weather was clear and hot so the views were good in all directions.

We took the obligatory 'selfie'...

We are home again now - had enough of coach travel for a while but it was a great weekend.

  1. Great views. That new tower does look rather narrow.
