On a misty morning last week, David and I went for a walk
around some old paths and passageways around Combe Down which are all bordered with Bath stone walls, some presumably quite ancient.
In the dry stone walls all sizes of stone have been used to fill gaps and varieties of ferns and moss are growing.
Some of the paths were very steep!
